Go buy Warfare

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Went to the Warfare premiere tonight, it was astounding to say the least. Without spoiling too much about the vid, Matt Bublitz’s part was my favorite. Very talented at skating and equally talented in film making, love the original fisheye shots. Andy Smith’s no comply thingamabobber plus his reaction was rad. Dumbfounded by the tricks that went down on the cherry park gap in the homies sections. The McClung brothers never cease to amaze me. Maui’s ATV, Ryan Spencer, skates to two Joy Division songs and his last two tricks are absolutely ridiculous. Tom Karangelov flowingly cruises across many rails and rightfully earns last part. You know this fool has to rip if he made it to Slap’s One In a Million finals.
My main point is that you need to get it!

5 flat 5 for $5

Monday, October 12th, 2009

One of the nights on Oahu we met up with G.Lee’s buddies and cruised around the UH campus. We were booted out by campus security pretty fast so we went to another side of the campus to this double set. This thing is no joke, it’s big. Leaf rolled away from it third try without being decapitated.

Oahu Summer extravaganza

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Hopped over to Oahu this summer for a few days to skate with an old friend. It’s always a good time rolling with friends you started skating with. We tried to street skate but had no avail. On this particular day we decided to have our own “super skatepark tour”.

The drive out to the north shore is amazing, very scenic. The new park out there is really gnarly as you can see. Of course we ended up at aala park a couple times. I really enjoying going there but usually sit back and watch the locals kill it. It’s almost a requirement to skate there, you have to rip. Aside from the skate cliques that sit in their corners, the place is awesome.
Thanks to G.Lee for allowing me to crash at his place, no thanks for introducing me to nazi zombies.
